Scope of JIST

The Journal of Indian Society of Toxicology (JIST) is a broad-based journal founded on two key tenets: To publish the most exciting researches with respect to the subjects of Toxicology: Secondly, to provide a rapid turn-around time possible for reviewing and publishing and to disseminate the articles freely for research, teaching and reference purposes. It is basically aimed at the clinical practitioners, medical/ health practitioners, students, professionals and researchers and professional bodies and institutions.

The JIST brings articles in all areas related to Clinical Toxicology, Toxicity, Microbial Toxins, Insect toxins, Excitotoxicity, Mycotoxin, Poisonous Effects, Drug Reactions, Toxin, Molecular Toxicology, Applied Toxicology, Neuro Toxicology, Aquatic Toxicology, Inhalation Toxicology, Food Toxicology, Experimental Toxicology, Occupational Toxicology, Veterinary Toxicology, Genetic Toxicology, Computational Toxicology and toxicology related to Dentistry. The JIST pursues contributions which prioritize distinction, originality, reduction to practice, accuracy, focus, and appeal to the readership. Preferentially the works of analytical toxicologists, clinical toxicologists, or from veterinary science in the broadest sense, will be considered as authors by the JIST. This journal caters to the requirements of the medical practitioners, researchers, lab professionals, students, academicians, and industry that is involved in Medical and clinical studies.

The JIST deals with all types of articles (original works, case reports, case series, reviews, communication letters) on different aspects of toxidromes, toxicology reports, toxicology tests, developmental toxicology, chemical toxicology, pesticidal toxicology, toxicogenomics, chemical toxicology, reproductive toxicology, toxicological sciences, environmental toxicology, skin toxicology, cardiac toxicity, renal toxicity, nano-toxicology, lung toxicity, drug toxicity, heavy metal toxicity, Aflatoxins, tetanus toxin, toxicology, industrial toxicology, heavy metal toxins, pesticide toxicology, industrial hygiene toxicology, metal toxicology, cadmium toxicology, insecticides toxicology and benzene toxicology.

The JIST will focus on studies that involve the development and validation of novel tools and methodologies that assist in the toxicological evaluation of new and existing chemical substances and assist in their safety assessment. Such papers will be interesting to an international audience of professionals in academia, businesses, and government. Most likely, readers of our journal will be engaged in the management of clinical cases, forensic toxicological analysis, veterinary and the environment scientists.
